John Nimmo's poetry has appeared in journals including Rattle, Stickman Review, Stirring, DMQ Review, and The Midwest Quarterly. His chapbook Out of Mud is published by Finishing Line Press. He grew up in southern California, moved to Wisconsin for six years of graduate school, and now lives with his wife Elsa in Menlo Park, California. After retiring from active employment in 2020, he continues as a scientist emeritus conducting research on the physical processes of water flow in soils and rocks.
